The first Canon SLR Canobfrex R series were launched in March 1959. In 1964, Canon FX was apeard and it had a built-in CDS metering system, but not TTL yet. The first Canon TTL model was Canon F-1 made in 1971. Photo is Canon FX model.
The Canon Pellix with fixed mirror SLR was sold in 1966 and had a manual TTL system.
The half mirror of 0.02mm film was used as a fixed mirror called Pellicle mirror.
The new model of fixed mirror SLR Canon EOS RT was sold in Oct. 1989. The photo is Canon Pellix QL(Film Quick Loading) launched in 1966.
