MINOLTA 16

The Minolta 16 was launched in 1957 as the first model of Minolta 16mm camera series. The modified model II was launched soon after in 1960. These two cameras among the Minolta 16mm series hat a push-pop body that the same movement of Minox. The Minolta 16mm series continued till 1972 when the 16QT of the last model launched. Many models 16EE,16EE-2,16MG,16MG-2 and 16QT were made during the period. As they had also the development tank, enlarger or many attachments for the series, might have called almost a system camera.

Minolta 16 II was a grade up model of the lens, shutter and view finder. The lens became 22mm F2.8 and view finder changed to Galilei type. The bulb added on the shutter and Max speed changed 1/200 to 1/500 sec. |
