This folding camera is named for the Capital of Russia. It is a copy of the Super Ikonta of Germany.

This Moskva-5 was manufactured by"KMZ" (krasnogorsky Mehanichesky Zavod- the Krasnogorsk mechanical factory), located in Krasnogorsk City nearMoskow.
This last version of the series was made around 1955 and discontinued by 1959. It was the same time that Super Ikonta in West Germany was discontinued .
The newly designed top cover doesn't look like a copy of the Ikonta top. The view finder is much more convenient for use by people wearing glasses in comparison with the original model.
